We are a full-service interior design and event planning company with technical education and boots-on-the-ground experience for a combined 16 years.
Everything that we do directly reflects our core beliefs, values, morality, vulnerability, trustworthiness, respect, and transparency. We are also firm believers that all design can be tailored to each individual and directed through aesthetics that we find true to stand the test of time. We work hand-in-hand within all facets of our company. We are the true definition of teamwork. Each client, event, and project gets both of us. We have learned that we work best by bouncing ideas off one another and work within each of our strengths on a daily basis. We often joke that together we make the perfect person; we each have strengths and weaknesses that are opposite of one another.
a little backstory
There has been a thread connecting the two of us our entire lives.
Little did we know that our paths would align as they did. Separately, we were Caroline Overmyer Designs and Jackie Landerfelt Interiors. When we both moved back to our small hometown, around the same time, we decided to merge. The only fitting name for our company was Strother Design. This is where the little thread plays a role in our lives. Our families have been friends forever, but the real connection is someone very dear to the both of us, a grandmother to one and a “fairy godmother” to the other. Marjorie Strother Overmyer has instilled in us that we could take on the world; that we are worthy of any dream we could imagine; and her love for all things impeccable is unmatchable. Our merge was inevitable from the moment we decided to move back to our hometown.
